Dr. John Preston grew up in Yale, graduated from Yale high school in 2013, and spent 2 years at SC4 before transferring to Life University in Atlanta Georgia, coming back to his hometown to work and eventually own a business.
Initially, he started getting adjusted when he was young after getting hurt playing football and saw a benefit in how he felt after he was adjusted. This sparked his passion because he wanted to help people feel better. When he got to school, he quickly learned that Chiropractic is so much more than pain relief and that it is its own distinct healing art. From there Dr. Preston started to get a passion for health and understanding how the body works and learning how to work with the natural processes of the body and human health rather than trying to manipulate how the body works.
Dr. Preston knew he was in the right profession when he started to see a benefit in patient care and started to have patients become curious with their health outside of pain relief. One of his major passions is educating patients on how to improve their health overall from all 3 aspects being physical, chemical, and emotional. Being able to have an impact on someone’s health in a positive way has been one of the most rewarding things that he has done in his life.
Some of Dr. Preston’s professional interests are nutrition and understanding the Physiology of the human body. He is passionate about these things because there is more than just a physical aspect to health that needs to be addressed and he has personally been able to see so many great benefits in the overall health of so many people around him. He is also a member of the Michigan Chiropractic Association!
Dr. Preston grew up on a small family farm where he spent his summers outside working along with being part of his local 4-H club and showing both beef and hogs. He also enjoyed playing football and powerlifting while he was in high school. He now enjoys working out and spending time with his fiancé and German Shepherds. He loves getting out to the lake in the summers and spending the fall in the woods hunting. Overall, his biggest joy is getting to spend his day outside in nature.
